During the opening ceremony of the academy, Niven Reddy, GAIA/BFFP Africa Coordinator, emphasised that no community or individual is disposable. He noted that the academy was established to bridge the knowledge gap among Zero Waste experts in the region. “The Africa Zero Waste Academy is driven by our vision for a cleaner, healthier planet, and we are excited to see ...

YOU ARE THE CREATOR- Elvira Jordan

YOU ARE THE CREATOR- Elvira Jordan Good Morning Beloved 😆 I have often said this in my write ups and I don’t think I can emphasize this enough. It’s a concept… a state of mind that takes time to embody. I mean, if it’s that easy to BE I also should be living a perfect life you know. However, it’s the continuous reminder, conscious embodiment, positive actions and utilization of your inner power that makes the topic. …. When God created man in his image, the Bible didn’t just mean physical image. It also means we were created in God’s light form; in His magnificence and power. We are not just a bag of flesh and bones. Within us lies the essence of God that gives us absolute power and control over ourselves and everything that happens around us. But this power within us is dampened by our physical body (flesh) that is made so thick that we find it hard to tap into our core and explore the power that lies within us. Our flesh is made thick and impossible to reach our inner selves by soci...

GRATITUDE IS THE BEST ATTITUDE - Elvira Jordan

GRATITUDE IS THE BEST ATTITUDE - Elvira Jordan (Revised) Good Morning Beloved. ✨ A quick question that you need to answer to yourself... How do you feel when you do something small for someone and the person goes all about it with "Thank You!! Oh Thank You So Much"? You would agree with me that it lights up something within you, that makes you want to do more for that person. Not because the person persuaded you to do more but because the simple show of GRATITUDE lit up the hero in you.  Same way it is with God and the laws of the Universe. The more you are grateful for the things you have, the more beautiful things you attract to yourself.  We sometimes focus on the things that we do not have and the things that are yet to go according to our plan. We worry so much that we put ourselves in a vibration that repels the good things that are supposed to come to us. But when we show gratitude for the good things in our lives, we constantly radiate in a high frequency that attract...

A TIME FOR DOUBLE EFFORT - Elvira Jordan

A TIME FOR DOUBLE EFFORT - Elvira Jordan Good Morning Beloved! 😊 Going about my everyday life, I have a really relaxed attitude and belief that all I need to do is just my own little part and just let things flow. But there are situations that need more than just your “little part”. There are situations that require your full strength, attention and efforts.  There are certain times in our lives when everything may seem on a standstill or the progress of our endeavor may appear slow or not forthcoming at all. There are times when things will look to be moving really slow; grand efforts yielding minimal results or less than our expectations.  These times are one of the most challenging because it is moments like this that kills the zeal to keep moving, makes us want to relax or just give up and let everything go. Although there are times I have advised people to just chill for a moment and watch things unfold, today before you chill there are certain things you need to be sure...

LEAP BEFORE YOU LOOK - Elvira Jordan

Good Morning Beloved! 😊 In all of our dealings, especially when it comes to certain critical issues, we are meant to analyze situations, think through issues and watch closely until we can take decisions that truly matter… decisions that  will  lead to positive outcomes.  This is the most advisable approach in life!  Before I switch to the mischievous mood in the air today, I want us to first of all understand that critical thinking should be a constant given in our lives. Man is only termed a “rationale being” because of his ability to be objective when the need arises.  However, today feels like one of those days where we will not have to think too much before we get things done.  There are certain things that have been left hanging, left unsaid, left undone because we have been trying to be too careful.  There are ways we may have been micromanaging ourselves into a corner because our critical mind is trying to get the best out of the situation. Ev...

Democracy Day: PANDEF Calls For The Restoration Of Democracy In Rivers State

The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) says there is a contradiction between the ideals of the significance of the date “June 12” and the happenings in Rivers State. In a statement released by the group, they described the situation in Rivers State as “creeping authoritarianism”. Read the statement below….  REMEMBERING JUNE 12 AND OUR COLLECTIVE CALL TO ACTION IN RIVERS STATE On this significant day, the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) extends our congratulations to all Nigerians as we mark twenty-six years of an uninterrupted democratic journey. We particularly salute President Bola Tinubu, who now has the privilege of leading the nation in commemorating Democracy Day—a day that honors the historic June 12, 1993 presidential election, unjustly annulled by the then-military regime. Of note we appreciate the state pardon granted to Ken Saro Wiwa and the Ogoni Nine. PANDEF notes that the profound meaning of this day in Nigeria's checkered democratic history remains a poignant reminder of ...
