FIND YOUR ANCHOR - Elvira Jordan

FIND YOUR ANCHOR - Elvira Jordan

Good Morning Beloved!

We live in a fast paced world where everything seems to be happening so quickly. The whole world seems to be changing so fast. 24 hours of a day just breezes through like a few minutes. Even new born babies begin to crawl, walk and speak much faster than expected.

If you look around, you will see that things are changing really fast. Asides the fact that the economy is hitting it so tough on a lot of people, life itself seems to be so hard to navigate for the people who are yet to find their bearing in this fast moving world.

The energy of the world today can be likened to a tornado storm that is sweeping a lot of people away. Fast moving ideas. Fast moving technology. Fast moving lifestyle. People wanting to meet up. People loosing their balance and falling off while trying to stay afloat.

A lot of people have been pushed into the abyss by the fast moving energy that is in the world today and have been lost to themselves, to the internet, to materialism etc, without even knowing.

My message today is a very simple and easy one…

In the midst of all the hurry and chaos, don’t be like a floating paper that can easily be carried away by the wind. A floating paper that is being controlled by the wind can never have a destination or a direction.

If you try to move with the wind, its force might sweep you away from your bearing, render you lost and floating from place to place without a direction or aim.

Unfortunately, most people live their lives like a floating paper, swayed by the winds of life, pushed around and forced to move wherever the winds of life faces.

Such people are preys to manipulators; easily influenced by external factors, easily used by others and gullible to any form of sway, persuasion or pressure.

I urge you today, in the middle of this fast moving energy and storm of life, find yourself an ANCHOR and hold on to it strongly.

That anchor need not be anything special or outside of you. That anchor could be a goal you are chasing, something that gives your life a meaning, something that gives you peace or something that gives you happiness.

That is the best source of strength and anchor that anyone can have. Seek out an anchor within yourself and hold on it.

Thus, no matter how strong or harsh the winds of life may be, you will be deeply rooted in your anchor, and can trace your self back to that piece of you, whenever you feel lost.

Rather than being carried away by the ideologies and beliefs of others, your anchor will keep you rooted in who you are, and focused on the realities of life, rather than floating pleasures or treasures that are immaterial.

If you’re finding it difficult to find your own anchor, there’s an anchor that carries the whole universe and its existence. Never shaken, Never broken, Never changing, Never failing. God!

Lean on him and he’ll navigate you through every and anything.

As you go about your day today, ponder on these words. Ask yourself, if you have been properly anchored or you are one that can be likened to a floating paper.

Ask yourself if you may have shaken away from your anchor. Ask yourself if you have opened your inner self to be a subject of manipulation and gullibility.

I dare to say today that your life is YOUR OWN and you can decide what to think, how to think, what to believe and what to cherish.

Remember that the consequences of your life choices will be faced by you and you alone. No one else will live through them. Therefore, your choices and decisions should be firmly rooted in who you are and your personal convictions.

Ponder on these words.

BIBLE VERSE: Matthew 7:24-25

Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, today we stand firm on the solid rock that is Your Name, Your Might and Your Power. May we be unshaken by the winds and turbulence of the world. Amen πŸ™πŸ½

Do have a Blessed Monday and a Successful Week ahead.

DREAMS AND VISIONS ARE FREE - Elvira Jordan

DREAMS AND VISIONS ARE FREE - Elvira Jordan Good Morning Beloved 😊 A few days ago, I stumbled on a video where Apostle Femi Lazarus spoke about “Seeing” and it inspired my message today. Even as a child, I have always lived in a fantasy world and sometimes I feel like I take the fantasy thing too far because at some point, everything around me could be on fire and I will just create an alternate reality in my head where I am dancing in the snows. Everyone else could be worried or fearful about a dire situation and I will just picture  the best possible outcome of that situation and allow myself to remain there, while others bugger their minds off on how serious the matter is. Some people have always seen my view as “Toxic Positivity” and that has never been a problem to me. There are times when I would agree that I took the dreaming thing too far, but more often than not, it was the ideal thing for me because while others are worked up over the situation and worried sick about a p...

Tackling Violence and Criminality in the Niger Delta with Television Designed Content; A SEARCH Initiative

In a bid to tackle violence and criminality in the Niger Delta, Search for Common Ground and its consortium of partners have introduced several components that examine the role of the government and government institutions, security agencies, community representatives, civil society organizations and the media, to foster an inclusive approach in creating a new face for the Niger Delta. Due to its wealth in natural resources, the need for resource control has generated decades long battle that have defaced the oil rich region, even as the communities and people of the Niger Delta strive towards peaceful coexistence, to drive peace and progress in the region. For this cause, SEARCH in collaboration with Foundation for Partnership in the Niger Delta (PIND) and Stakeholders Democracy Network (SDN) embarked on a peace building project which was funded by the European Union with the theme, “A Community Centered Approach To Transforming Violence And Criminality In The Niger Delta” which...
