HOLDING ON TO THE DREAM – Elvira Jordan

HOLDING ON TO THE DREAM – Elvira Jordan
Good Morning Beloved!
There’s this common saying “Anywhere wey belle face, na im be front”. This may sound very funny but it’s actually the reality people live with every day.
A large percentage of people in Nigeria are consciously or unconsciously living this reality, as most people cannot afford to live their best lives and be their best selves because some economic and social factors are limiting them.

I am talking about a society where a student who has the dream of becoming a medical doctor will end of studying animal science. A computer science graduating may end up running a POS business. People can no longer walk in the shoes they desire, because life has already give them a ragged bathroom slippers, and they are forced to wear it because they cannot afford anything better. Do you get?

Life has a way of trying to determine who we are and what we become, because we are all trying to adjust our movements according to the shoes we wear ad the itch we feel. That is what the society does to us.

However, there are some of us who have seen a picture of what we want to be and what we want to do. There are people who have dreamt and have lived our desired lives in our heads. We have held on to this vision, so much that it almost feels like we can taste it.

This message may not resonate with everyone, but to all those who have a dream, a vision, a purpose or a target that we have nursed and are striving towards, I urge you all to hold that vision in your mind’s eye- your subconscious mind, and bever let it go.

No matter how the world tries to push you or sway you… no matter how much the society and life’s circumstances will shake you, make sure to hold on to that which you have seen, that which you most desire, and that which you wish to attain.

The more you hold on to the vision, the clearer it becomes. The clearer it becomes, the more strength you muster to bring it to reality.

Don’t let the noise of the world, hunger, procrastination and other distractions sway you from what you see and believe. Commit that vision to God every day in prayers. Say it out Loud until the Universe begins to sing it. Call it forth, as if you are beaconing to a crawling toddler to come to you.

Hold on to it and watch it gravitate towards you slowly, like a pin in a haystack, moving towards the energy of a magnet.

I can't say its easy, but living a purposeless life is much harder.

Hold on to that vision. Keep holding on to it. Don't let it go.
I hope this message gets to those who need it.

BIBLE VERSE: Habakuk 2:2-3 And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, help us to hold on to our vision and our purpose. Help us to stand tall and hrive above all that seem to distract us from our chosen path. Give us victory and excellence in all we desire to achieve. Amen ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ
Do have a Blessed Monday and a Successful Week ahead. ๐Ÿฉต๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ’œ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ€❤️๐Ÿชป๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค☘️๐Ÿค

DREAMS AND VISIONS ARE FREE - Elvira Jordan

DREAMS AND VISIONS ARE FREE - Elvira Jordan Good Morning Beloved ๐Ÿ˜Š A few days ago, I stumbled on a video where Apostle Femi Lazarus spoke about “Seeing” and it inspired my message today. Even as a child, I have always lived in a fantasy world and sometimes I feel like I take the fantasy thing too far because at some point, everything around me could be on fire and I will just create an alternate reality in my head where I am dancing in the snows. Everyone else could be worried or fearful about a dire situation and I will just picture  the best possible outcome of that situation and allow myself to remain there, while others bugger their minds off on how serious the matter is. Some people have always seen my view as “Toxic Positivity” and that has never been a problem to me. There are times when I would agree that I took the dreaming thing too far, but more often than not, it was the ideal thing for me because while others are worked up over the situation and worried sick about a p...

Tackling Violence and Criminality in the Niger Delta with Television Designed Content; A SEARCH Initiative

In a bid to tackle violence and criminality in the Niger Delta, Search for Common Ground and its consortium of partners have introduced several components that examine the role of the government and government institutions, security agencies, community representatives, civil society organizations and the media, to foster an inclusive approach in creating a new face for the Niger Delta. Due to its wealth in natural resources, the need for resource control has generated decades long battle that have defaced the oil rich region, even as the communities and people of the Niger Delta strive towards peaceful coexistence, to drive peace and progress in the region. For this cause, SEARCH in collaboration with Foundation for Partnership in the Niger Delta (PIND) and Stakeholders Democracy Network (SDN) embarked on a peace building project which was funded by the European Union with the theme, “A Community Centered Approach To Transforming Violence And Criminality In The Niger Delta” which...
