FIND YOUR CIRCLE AND NOURISH IT - Elvira Jordan

FIND YOUR CIRCLE AND NOURISH IT - Elvira Jordan

Hello Beloved 😊

How has your vibe been of late?
When you turn on the TV or scroll on social media, what do you see? How does the media and internet make you feel?
How has the situation of the country and the world affected you?

There are a lot of things that are wrong in the world and in the society around us that keeps us trapped in a vicious circle of fear, anger and frustration. A lot of things are wrong and no matter how much we try, we just can’t ignore something that is staring at us face-to-face.

These days, I have to guard myself before going on social media, before talking to people or interacting with the world in anyway.

If its not a negative occurrence on the news, there will be an evil message on social media that corrupts the mind. If not that, you will just be on your own jejely enjoying a good day, and out of nowhere, someone will call you to tell you about a tragedy that happened to your third cousin’s mother in law in the village, or a sad event that happened to the caller or someone you know. πŸ™„

It seems like negativity is hunting us everywhere with every means possible and I have to say it’s not a coincidence.

As much as we cannot control the things that happen in the world, and may not be able to handle the social media algorithms that constantly feeds us with negativity, there are other things we can control, and that is the people who allow into our circle.

In my write ups over time, I have emphasized on the need to maintain a positive energy/ vibe and how vital it is in our day to day life. One important way of keeping a positive energy around us is by letting go of things that do not serve us the goodness that we want around us.

One important point I rarely emphasize on is the value of the people in our circle and how it can positively impact our everyday energy.

Humans were created to rely on one another for a lot of things, including energy. Same way we were all created to rely on nature to survive, our survival and growth depends strongly on our relations with the people God has placed around us, and the ones we have chosen to keep around us.

In the same vein, whatever thing that matters to us, everything that happens around us, our achievements etc are all linked to PEOPLE.

As a way of managing our happiness, keeping out the negatives and improving on our mood, it is important to identify the people in our lives who uplift us, upgrade our moods and make us feel good about ourselves, and draw them even closer.

At this time in the world, our family, friends and loved ones who vitalize our spirit should be prioritized and kept close, our relationships with them oiled and maintained judiciously. Those are our people and we need them around us at this time, to exchange happiness, love, goodness and good vibes.

A circle that speaks life to you, encourages you and shows you love in your highs and lows, is the cushion we need to survive in the toxicity of the political, social and economical conditions we live under today.

Today, let’s forget about the bad people (as we continuously kick them out of our lives) and prioritize the good people around us who uplift us daily.

Prioritize these ones as they prioritize you.
Vitalize these ones as they vitalize you.
Love them as they love you.
Care for them as they care for you.
Hold on to them as they hold on to you.

This positive exchange is needed to nourish our spirits, mind and body daily.

BIBLE VERSE: Proverbs 27:17

17 As iron sharpens iron,
So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, we open ourselves to people and relationships that will daily elevate us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Let there be a continuous flow of Love, Light and Happiness. Amen

Do have a Blessed Monday and a Successful Week ahead.

  1. My you are very correct.
Recently, I cried profusely because of the happenings. When I go to social media, friends and family members kept posting things that adds to my grief and frustration so, I had to block so many of them to protect my sanity.

I had to limit my presence on the print and electronic media, I hardly watch news these days even when I was a news Frick.
I can go on and on my dear, life in this country is so frustrating 😒.

Sometimes, I will be like "God why are you allowing evil to strive this way ".
    My dear!
    IT IS WELL OH 😭.

DREAMS AND VISIONS ARE FREE - Elvira Jordan

DREAMS AND VISIONS ARE FREE - Elvira Jordan Good Morning Beloved 😊 A few days ago, I stumbled on a video where Apostle Femi Lazarus spoke about “Seeing” and it inspired my message today. Even as a child, I have always lived in a fantasy world and sometimes I feel like I take the fantasy thing too far because at some point, everything around me could be on fire and I will just create an alternate reality in my head where I am dancing in the snows. Everyone else could be worried or fearful about a dire situation and I will just picture  the best possible outcome of that situation and allow myself to remain there, while others bugger their minds off on how serious the matter is. Some people have always seen my view as “Toxic Positivity” and that has never been a problem to me. There are times when I would agree that I took the dreaming thing too far, but more often than not, it was the ideal thing for me because while others are worked up over the situation and worried sick about a p...

Tackling Violence and Criminality in the Niger Delta with Television Designed Content; A SEARCH Initiative

In a bid to tackle violence and criminality in the Niger Delta, Search for Common Ground and its consortium of partners have introduced several components that examine the role of the government and government institutions, security agencies, community representatives, civil society organizations and the media, to foster an inclusive approach in creating a new face for the Niger Delta. Due to its wealth in natural resources, the need for resource control has generated decades long battle that have defaced the oil rich region, even as the communities and people of the Niger Delta strive towards peaceful coexistence, to drive peace and progress in the region. For this cause, SEARCH in collaboration with Foundation for Partnership in the Niger Delta (PIND) and Stakeholders Democracy Network (SDN) embarked on a peace building project which was funded by the European Union with the theme, “A Community Centered Approach To Transforming Violence And Criminality In The Niger Delta” which...
