MY DECEMBER - Elvira Jordan

MY DECEMBER  - Elvira Jordan
Good Morning Beloved!

I had a very hard time getting a message for today, probably because I’m in very high spirit and may have gone above and beyond.πŸ˜‚

But this will be my last message for the year 2024, as I will be going on a writing break, hoping that my cup is refilled with a fresh perspective in the coming year. (I got you there with the title πŸ˜πŸ˜‰)

While we are stylishly moving towards the Yuletide season, I want to remind us a few things.

Some things to note as we move into December:

1. Christmas and New Year may have pagan origins and some disturbing history, but doesn’t change the fact that we have chosen this period to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, to be grateful to God for the year and celebrate with family. Don’t let social media ideologies and rhetorics distract you from YOUR significance of Christmas. If you think Christmas has a problem, just keep it to yourself and allow us to flex.

2. Even though you don’t believe in the gospel of Jesus or have some reservations about Christmas, being happy and merry is not a bad thing. It is good for your soul. Joy heals and gratitude unveils new possibilities. Try introducing some happiness, joy and gratitude into your life this season. Try to relax your seriousness and just seize the opportunity to celebrate yourself once a year in December.

3. The Yuletide is not a period of competition. If you can afford new clothings, decorations and special gifts for yourself and your loved ones, by all means, make sure to give your self a good treat. If you can’t afford new clothings, iron your best ones and rock them this season. Eat what you can afford and give your loved ones the gift of your time, appreciation and attention. Happiness can be achieved in different ways. Don’t feel down if you were not able to celebrate lavishly as planned. Celebrate according to your means and you will be happy.

4. Look around you and share with the people who you think need your help. Visiting Orphanages are good, but don’t be a hypocrite. Don’t take your offerings far away for photos and social media posts, when you know a family around you will do well with that token you are using to chase clout. Put a smile on someone’s face if you can. Share something with somebody.

5. Don’t give in to negative energy and temptations this season. As you are merry, be merry with 99% intelligence and the other 1% for cruise. Remember there is life after Christmas, and January actually has 31 days, not 40. Be mindful in all you do. Drink but don’t get drunk. Eat but don’t purge. Have fun but don’t make trouble in the process. Don’t do anything in excess. That’s when things turn from good to bad.

6. Let everything you do give glory to God. Be grateful for the exiting year. God did a lot for us. No matter how tough it may have been for you, there were certain high points. Pick out the high points and express your gratitude to God for all the good things you received in 2024.

7. Yuletide is not only about making merry. As you approach the end of the year, do a little reflection, pick your wins and expand on them. Note your weaknesses and work on them. Plan your 2025 before the year starts.

8. Finally, I reiterate. Don’t let anything or anybody steal your joy and peace this season. Be you and Do You.
I wish you all a Wonderful December. May God’s Blessings locate us all in the areas we need him the most.

Do have a Blessed Monday and a Successful Week ahead.
