SLOW IT DOWN - Elvira Jordan

SLOW IT DOWN - Elvira Jordan

Good Morning Beloved!

We have come to that time of the year when everyone is on alert… on edge. This is the season of rush and desperation, especially in these climes where everyone is trying to prove their worth.

We want to achieve all that we have planned for the year. We want to end the year with a bang. We want to close the year with a lot of victories. We want to show our village people how successful we are, when we travel home for Christmas.

This need to end the year in the best way, has given birth to a kind of rush that makes the “ember month mythology”; that evil things like accidents, ritual killings and other tragedies are bound to happen in the last quarter of every year.

Some people link this mythology to spiritual mysteries that they associate with the end of the year.

On the contrary, I don’t think there is any negative spiritual thing linked to the “ember month” season. It is simply a case of “cause and effect”.
The adrenaline rush people develop at the end of the year, owing to the need to finish the year in style, brings about a certain desperation that plays out negatively, causing the tragedies we experience at the end of the year.

People bind and cast the spirits of ember months and still do the things that attract the tragedies of ember month, because they are in such a rush to end the year in grand style.

In October, November and December, due to the rush and need to end the year well, there is a tension in the air that pushes people to do everything intensely, hoping for immediate results.

People go the extra mile to make sure their needs are met. This extra mile can be mounting pressure on artisans and vendors, driving faster than usual, going diabolic to achieve a goal, being sneaky with clients etc.

All these actions and activities create a ripple effect that brings about the ember month tragedies.

If everyone can be calm, more calculated and less desperate to pepper village people in December, we will see a drastic reduction in the tragedies experienced at the end of the year.

Today, I want you to understand that whatever you could not accomplish from January to September, cannot be magically accomplished from now till December.

I know you want to end the year in grand style but just remember that the difference between December 2024 and January 2025 is just a dynamic of time.

Don’t allow man made timelines to push you into depression because you couldn’t achieve your goal; to push you into desperation for quick money schemes.

Whatever project we couldn’t complete in 2024, we will continue in 2025.
Whatever goal we couldn’t accomplish in 2024, we will accomplish in 2025.
Whatever plans we couldn’t achieve in 2024, the year 2025 is another year to try. No pressure.

Don’t allow external pressure and the need to impress, to push you into risking your life and that of others.

If you can calm down and slow down your hurry, you will see that a new year is a good time to try harder, as long as we are above ground, our senses are in tact and our energies are in the right place.

Whatever we couldn’t do in 2024, we try again in 2025.

Let us all cruise slowly and smoothly into the end of the year 2024.

BIBLE VERSE: Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, as we move closer to the end of the year, let Your Divine speed move us higher than our expectations. Bless us with a bountiful harvest. Amen

Do have a Blessed Monday and a Successful Week ahead.
