FirstLove Assembly Marks 13 Years With “Supernatural Life” Conference Featuring Dakuku Peterside, Prof. Zeb-Obipi, Tina Osuji
PORT HARCOURT, Rivers State | July 20, 2026
For 13 years, FirstLove Assembly in Rukpokwu has opened its doors to a community seeking faith, purpose, and practical tools for life. This August, the church is turning that milestone into a moment.
From August 12 to 16, 2026, the auditorium in Rukpokwu will host the church’s Annual Faith Conference and 13th Anniversary Leadership and Business Session — themed “The Supernatural Life.” And the lineup suggests the organisers are going big.
The Voices Headlining the 5 Days
Leading the charge is Dr. Dakuku Peterside, former Director-General of NIMASA and one of Nigeria’s most quoted voices on leadership. He will deliver the keynote: “The Ten Greatest Leadership Lessons I Learnt From Public Service — And Why Every Entrepreneur Should Know Them.”
For many in the room, it’s a rare chance to hear the author of Leading in a Storm and Strategic Turnaround break down what crisis, governance, and pressure teach about running both institutions and businesses.
He won’t be alone on stage.
Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi, Vice-Chancellor of Rivers State University and a respected leadership scholar, will also speak. His session is expected to bridge academic insight with real-world application for young professionals and executives.
And for the entrepreneurs, Mrs. Tina Osuji, CEO of Tico’s Kitchen, will take the mic to talk entrepreneurship and business growth — from building a brand to scaling in a tough economy.
More Than Sermons: Leadership, Enterprise, and “The Exchanges”
According to the host church, the conference begins Wednesday, August 12 at 5:00 p.m. with evening sessions. But the mornings will carry a different weight.
Three dedicated morning blocks will focus on Leadership, Enterprise, and Career Development — designed to equip participants with capacity, not just inspiration.
One of the most anticipated segments is “The Exchanges.” It’s not a talk. It’s a structured networking initiative meant to connect hundreds of participants across industries — from oil and gas to tech, education, and retail — for real professional and career opportunities long after the amen.
Evening sessions and the thanksgiving service will also feature ministers including Rev. Simeon Afolabi, Overseer of FirstLove Assembly Worldwide; Rev. Chris Oarhe; Prophet Joseph Akanya; Pastor Wisdom Osiri; and host Pastor Alfred James Abu, Resident Pastor of FirstLove Assembly Rukpokwu.
“A Prophetic Season of New Beginnings”
In a joint statement, Pastor Alfred James Abu and the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Dr. Boma Waribor, MNIPR, described the 13th anniversary as more than celebration.
“This marks a prophetic season of new beginnings,” they said. “The conference is structured to equip participants for this new season and for higher service.”
That “higher service,” organisers say, means faith that works in boardrooms, classrooms, and businesses — not just on Sundays.
