BE KIND TO YOURSELF - Elvira Jordan

Good Morning Beloved! 🤍

I often say that my soothing and intelligent write ups does not mean that my life is perfect in all ramifications. Most times, my notes are messages from my higher self to me. These are messages that are downloaded from my soul/ the universe/ God to direct me, that I choose to share.

Just like everybody else on earth, I have flaws, fears and issues that I strive daily to overcome.

Of recent, I found myself reliving parts of me that I thought I had left behind. Things that I thought I had outgrown. Inner child wounds and traumas that I thought I had handled.

In my journey of self-awareness, I have realized that I only go back to things I had handled in the past, when there are new aspects to heal, to continue healing or to complete healing.

This is another reminder that Growth and Healing are not a Linear Processes. The fact that you are progressively improving doesn’t mean you will be “up-there” all the time.

In the process of healing and growing, there are days where you will encounter things, events, people and places that will scratch the surface of the wounds and patterns you thought you had already healed. These wounds are reopened and you find yourself bleeding again.

You will sometimes exhibit behaviors you so much believed you had outgrown, or fall back to patterns that you have worked so hard to break or put to an end.

Yes! It is part of process. You haven’t lost it. You only relapsed a few steps backwards. Retrace and keep moving. Just keep going and doing all you need to do. Be Kind To Yourself.

You fell a couple of times again after promising yourself to stand strong? No shakes. Don’t stay down there and wait for someone to pick you up. Don’t hate yourself for falling again. Don’t be ashamed to ask for help. Don’t blame yourself for not being able to stand. Be kind to yourself.

Let’s be patient with ourselves in all situations, as we strive towards being a better version of who we are, and attaining the peak of our divine purpose on earth.

Do a little self-reflection, acknowledge the factors that led to your fall, open a new chapter of learning, get up stronger and take more steps. Sometimes even “bigger” steps.

Growth and Healing are not a Linear Processes that only progresses upward. There are always down times. It is up to you to make proper use of the downtimes, to learn the lessons within and never be down again.

While ploughing through these down times, Be Kind to Yourself. Always be sure that you speak to yourself in a kind voice (positive self-talk).

Every reopened wound points you to a new direction of healing you need. Take note of it and work towards it.

Remember that at the end of the day, all you have is yourself. Treat yourself kindly.

Today, buy yourself something nice. It can be a new wallet, a key holder, a bowl of ice cream or just a good meal. Show yourself some kindness.

You are doing well. You are doing a great job.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, help me to rise up stronger than I was yesterday, and to achieve greater than I have ever achieved. As we step out today, may every door we knock on be opened easily. Protocols will be broken on our behalf. Amen 🙏🏽
