DOORS, GATEWAYS AND GATEKEEPERS - Elvira Jordan

DOORS, GATEWAYS AND GATEKEEPERS - Elvira Jordan
Good Morning Beloved!

When this topic came to me this morning, it was quite a struggle because everything that came was a bit too deep, that I wouldn’t know how to break them down. This was the last and breaking it down may also not be so easy but I will try.

Every important house, building or facility has a door. Anywhere people live or keep something, despite the levels of importance, has a door. There is always an entry point to a place.
If it happens to be an extremely important place, it could have several gates and entrances before you can get to the main thing or person the building holds.

Most of the time, the most important things, the most valuables and most sort after have several entry points and gate keepers that you must go through before you can arrive at the core of what you are pursuing.

Even reaching God has a gateway. Psalm 100:4 talks about entering God’s gateway and how to enter that gateway.

My thoughts this morning drew a connection between doors, gateways and gate keepers in my everyday life pursuit. Everything that we seek has a door, a gateway or a gatekeeper that could or could not be literal but similar in context.

Sometimes the reason  we don’t get the things we want or hit our goals is because we haven’t acknowledged these gateways, meaning we don’t even know how to access and penetrate these gateways.

Take for instance you intend to visit the governor to discuss a project. How do you get to the governor, what do you need to do to get to him? Are you visiting a loved one? How do you get to the person? You pass through a gate, a door, you knock, you announce yourself, go through security protocols etc.

I drew a relationship between these scenarios with my personal goals and plans, whether long term or short term. How do I identify these doors and gateways to what I need? What do I need to do to get through the gate keepers? What do I need to say to announce my arrival and my purpose.

I believe that once I have answered these questions, I can skillfully glide through life and purpose.

As you go about your day today, ponder on these words as I will also do.

BIBLE VERSE: 2 Chronicles 23:19
He also stationed gatekeepers at the gates of the Lord’s temple so that no one who was in any way unclean might enter.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, open our eyes to recognize the gateways to our place of fulfillment, growth and success. We command doors and getaways to be opened unto us. Protocols will be broken on our behalf. Amen πŸ™πŸ½

Do have a Blessed Monday and a Successful Week ahead.

THE STORY OF THE PROSTITUTE WHO BECAME THE ONLY FEMALE KING OF ENUGU-EZIKE

#history ✍️  Ahebi Ugbabe was a prostitute and businesswoman from Enugu-Ezike who later became the only female king in British-Nigeria.  Ugbabe, who was the first and last king of Enugu-Ezike, ruled her people for 30 years until her death in 1948. She was 68. King Ahebi Ugbabe could speak Igbo, Igala, Nupe, and Pidgin English. Thus, she held court cases in her palace while making money from the services. Women who had also been abused by their husbands escaped to Ugbabe’s palace, who then became their female husband. Ahebi Ugbabe married wives for herself...by paying their bride price. She then looked for men who had intercourse with these wives and claimed the paternity of the children they bore. She assumed the role of a man and named the children after herself. With the fear that her people might not accord her a rightful burial, Ahebi Ugbabe performed her own funeral rites in 1946, two years before her death.
