APPRECIATE THE GIFTS OF THE PRESENT - Elvira Jordan

APPRECIATE THE GIFTS OF THE PRESENT - Elvira Jordan

Good Morning Beloved!!!

I have interacted with people who on the outside are doing well and even better than their peers, but seem to only see the areas of their lives that are not going well.

And me I’m just like “bro, can we switch places?”… because some of us wouldn’t mind being where they are and to have those things they see as “problems”.

One of the reasons why people are so unhappy with their lives is because they are only interested in the things that are not working out around them, all the while, ignoring their little wins and blessings.

Some people are good at viewing their lives from all angles and only selecting what’s not working out of everything.

It’s like ordering for a nice burger pack and a bottle of coke, and when the delivery arrives, they got you a double burger pack with a bottle of Fanta. And then you get so angry about the fact that they didn’t get you the exact brand of soft drink you ordered for, completely ignoring the fact that you got a double burger pack instead of a regular … You get?

There are people who are living a dream life with beautiful people around them, but constantly live in the mistakes of their past, remembering what went wrong and how their lives would be if that didn’t go wrong…

Sometimes we focus so much on the things we do not have, that we fail to appreciate the  little but important gifts that we receive every day from the Universe (God).

Most of us find it difficult to see the miracles in our daily lives because we live our lives in a constant revolving circle of regret, fear, shame and anxiety, while reliving a PAST story that is already gone and cannot be changed; or in constant anticipation of a FUTURE that we cannot control.

Why do you stress your mind so much by focusing on things that are gone and cannot be undone, and things that are yet to happen?

The past is history and therefore, can no longer be amended or changed. The future will alway happen the way it ought to happen, no matter how much you anticipate its coming.

Rather than focusing on a past that you cannot change and the future that you cannot control, take charge of your PRESENT, appreciate who you are NOW and focus on making the best of what, who and where you are NOW.

If you cannot change the past and cannot control the future, you can however make your future better by paying attention and being MINDFUL of the things you give your time and attention RIGHT NOW.

It's time to do yourself a favour by refocusing your thoughts and energy on the things that actually matter. Spend a little time to appreciate who you are today.

This will take away the pain, anxiety and fear. Life becomes enjoyable. You begin to appreciate the LITTLE BEAUTIFUL GIFTS that life gives to us daily. You will then see that they are not so little. They are huge miracles.

Appreciate every breath you take. It seems easy but loosing your breath is the worst that can happen to any man.

See the beauty in every new morning. It is not a right but a privilege.

Celebrate your daily efforts and be grateful for where you are today. Some others are getting it worst than your bad day.

Appreciate the smiles of your loved ones. Appreciate the privilege to live.
Appreciate the things God gives to us daily.

BIBLE VERSE: Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, we thank You for the gift of today, the blessings of yesterday and the Favours that this day will bring. We may not have all we want, but Lord, You have provided all that we need and we are grateful. Amen

Do have a Blessed Monday and a Successful Week ahead.
